Vietnam 2024 Tea

Vietnam has strong potential for developing long-term industrial crops due to its diverse land, climate, and crop ecosystems. To showcase the beauty and economic value of Vietnam's prominent industrial crops, the Ministry of Information and Communications decided to issue a series of stamps on this theme.

Among these, the tea plant is a key crop in many regions across the country, with large-scale cultivation and production areas such as Thai Nguyen, Son La, Phu Tho, and Lam Dong...

Tea products not only serve domestic consumption but are also exported to various international markets, providing a stable source of income for localities and enhancing the position and competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products in the global market.

The "Tea Plant" stamp set is designed using graphical methods, with two stamps depicting the formation and growth process from seed, plant, flower, and fruit, to tea products in everyday life.

The souvenir sheet depicts an ancient tea tree grown in a natural environment with fresh mountain climate conditions. The tea is harvested manually to produce Shan Tuyet tea, a unique speciality of Vietnam. The background of the souvenir sheet features the Long Coc tea hills (Phu Tho), renowned for their scenic beauty and as a source of tea material.

China 2023

Israel 2011 Achievement ( Agriculture Irrigation )

Tomaccio tomatoes resulted from a 12-year breeding program using a wild Peruvian tomato species. The program was developed by Hishtil in Israel.  Tomaccio is a vigorous, high yielding, early fruiting cherry tomato bred primarily for the sun-dried tomato market.

And later the Tomaccio tomatoes, a vigorous, high yielding, early fruiting cherry tomatoes,  a sweet snack tomato.

After drastic infrastructure, regulatory, and institutional reform, Israel transformed from one of the world's most water-stressed countries to a water- secure country, becoming a global leader in agricultural water reuse. Today, nearly 90 percent of Israel's treated wastewater is reused for irrigation purposes.

Israel 2010 Achievement ( Agriculture - Medical - Computer )

Simcha Blass and his son Yeshayana observed a tree in Israel that seemed to be growing without a trace of water but later found a leaking underground pipe feeding it small amounts. This led Blass to invent modern drip irrigation using plastic for the emitter and long passageways called “labyrinths,” thus reducing water usage and changing the world of agriculture. He partnered with Kibbutz Hatzerim in the mid-1960s to form the company Netafim and patent the technology.  This technology revolutionized the agriculture world by providing the first practical surface drip irrigation system.

A camera inside a swallowed capsule the size of a jelly bean takes pictures of a patient’s bowel that are transmitted via sensors attached to their abdomen. This is Pillcam, a noninvasive method for diagnosing diseases of the digestive system invented by Israeli engineer Gavrial Iddan and Israeli gastroenterologist Eitan Scapa.
