Malaysia 2026 Five Nation Exhibition

The Five-Nation Stamp Exhibition Perlis, Malaysia 2026 was held from 25th to 27th September 2026 at Dewan 2020, Kangar, Perlis, bringing together stamp collectors, exhibitors, and visitors from Malaysia and abroad.

Organised by the Philatelic Society Malaysia (PSM) and Perlis State Secretary Incorporation (PSSI), the exhibition featured participation from Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia, with Bangladesh joining as a guest country.

The event was supported by the State Government of Perlis, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Ministry of Education, Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Pos Malaysia Berhad, Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP), various government agencies, and other stakeholders.

The exhibition also coincided with the centenary of FIP, which celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2026, adding further significance to the international philatelic gathering.

A total of 98 exhibits comprising 325 frames were displayed, covering 29 competitive classes and categories, including Traditional Philately, Postal History, Aerophilately, Revenue, Thematic Philately, Picture Postcards, and Youth Philately.

The future of the hobby was also highlighted through the participation of 15 youth exhibitors aged between 10 and 21, including eight representatives from Malaysia. Displays and activities involving Kelab Setem dan Filateli (KESEF) provided further opportunities for schoolchildren to discover the educational value of stamp collecting.

From Tri-Nation to Five-Nation: The Evolution of ASEAN’s Premier Regional Philatelic Exhibition

The Conception
Before 2011, novice collectors in Southeast Asia found it difficult to leap straight from local club competitions to international FIP (Fédération Internationale de Philatélie) events, which require strict frame-building expertise and a minimum qualifying point threshold.

In 2010, leaders from the philatelic societies of Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand conceptualized a specialized, mid-tier regional circuit. The core ideas behind its conception were:
• A "Stepping Stone" Qualification System: Create a standard-compliant, FIAP-recognized (Federation of Inter-Asian Philately) exhibition where regional judges could evaluate and officially score collections. Earning a silver-bronze medal or higher here allows a collector to bypass certain entry barriers and qualify for global FIP world competitions.
• Cultural Exchange via Post: Utilize the shared histories of Southeast Asian borders to exhibit rare historical covers, colonial-era postal routes, and unique regional overprints.
• Collaborative Philatelic Souvenirs: Arrange for the participating nations to issue synchronized commemorative stamps, overprints, or distinctive "daily event cancellations" during the rotation.

Organizing Framework
The exhibition is not run by a single entity; it is a collaborative partnership between three primary bodies in each host country:  the national philatelic society, the state postal operator, and the regional philatelic federation.

1. National Philatelic Societies (The Core Organizers)
The management, judging, and coordination of the actual frames are entirely driven by the respective non-profit national hobby groups:
Malaysia: Philatelic Society Malaysia (PSM)
Singapore: Singapore Stamp Club (SSC) / Association of Singapore Philatelists.
Thailand: Philatelic Association of Thailand (PAT)
Indonesia: Afiliasi Filateli Indonesia - AFI / Indonesian Philatelic Exhibition Association - IPEA.
Vietnam: Vietnam Philatelic Association (VPA).

2. National Postal Operators (The Logistics & Commercial Partners)
To make the exhibition financially viable and appealing to the public, the host nation’s state postal service provides venue support, creates commercial pop-up postal booths, and issues official philatelic products. Partners include:
Pos Malaysia Berhad
Singapore Post (SingPost).
Thailand Post.
Pos Indonesia
Vietnam Post

3. Regional Oversight
The Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP) provides the overarching patronage and accreditation. FIAP ensures that the judges assigned to the exhibition are internationally certified, and that the competitive points awarded to the exhibitors are officially recognized in the global system.

SURABAYA 99 Pameran Filateli Nasional

Manalagi Apple ( Malus sylvestris ) or in Indonesia known as Malang Apple or Stone Apple ,  is a species of wild apple fruit from the genus Malus . Its scientific name means " Forest Apple " because it often grows wild in forests with certain altitudes or climates and the tree has fairly sharp thorns .

Manalagi apples are one of the mainstays of plantations in Malang Raya , East Java .  These apples were brought by the Dutch from Australia and Central Asia in the 1930s and apple plantations have developed more rapidly in the highlands of East Java, especially Malang Raya, because the climate is cooler and drier than the average warm and humid climate of Indonesia.

Italy : Duomo di Milano

Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano), or Metropolitan Cathedral-Basilica of the Nativity of Saint Mary (Basilica cattedrale metropolitana di Santa Maria Nascente), is the cathedral church of Milan, Lombardy, Italy. Dedicated to the Nativity of St. Mary (Santa Maria Nascente), it is the seat of the Archbishop of Milan, currently Archbishop Mario Delpini.

The cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete: construction began in 1386, and the final details were completed in 1965. It is the largest church in the Italian Republic—the larger St. Peter's Basilica is in the State of Vatican City, a sovereign state—and the third largest in the world.
