Malaysia 2013 Stamp Week OMG

Stamp Week is an annual stamp exhibition held annually by Pos Malaysia since 1996.  Traditionally, a new set of stamp will be issued for the event, or else an overprinted previous issue will be used.

2013’s Stamp Week was held at Berjaya Times Square ( BTS ), KL from 13^th – 19^th November 2013.  This year’s Stamp Week supposedly will also see the release of Visit Malaysia Year  ( VMY ) stamps.  But the VMY 2014 stamps – which featured Malaysian birds, insects, flowers and tourist sites – were held back from being release for being embroiled in an alleged plagiarism claim by two photographers, Remy Ocon and Con Foley.

Last minute replacement was a 4-stamps sheet of  50 years of Malaysia overprinted with a heart-shaped Malaysian flag on the stamp, and OMG Stamp Week logo on the sheet.
