Israel 1952 Rosh Hashanah "Flora"

The 1952 Israel Rosh Hashanah postage stamp series featured a theme inspired by the Song of Solomon.

The set of four stamps, designed by Otte Wallish, depicted various symbols and imagery from the biblical text, including doves, reeds, Easter lily (Lilium longiflorum), fig (Ficus carica), and Lambert's Nut (Corylus maxima). These motifs were chosen to convey messages of love, peace, and renewal, appropriate for the Jewish New Year celebration.
